This message comes from Alaska.
I am homeless other than a camper someone gave us.
I use parts of things and broken wind generators, to make working wind generators, that charge up batteries I got from the trash.
I am in my 50's and most of my life (in the USA) have made less than $100 a month income (quite a lot, if in another country from what I learn).
I came from wilderness.
To my own kind,
wanting to protect this wilderness,
from my own kind.

And to learn how,
by doing it.

Today, this morning, I took out of the community trash, a broken fan on a stand and a broken cassette tape player.
If in Somali this I would think would make me feel quite rich.

This, if found in the wilderness would indeed make me feel rich.
With this, I can turn the fan blade into a turbine to spin a motor from the tape player in the wind, and use a diode from the tape player, to have the electricity only flow into some cell phone batteries I also got from the trash.
This can then give me free radio (a still working part of the cassette tape player) any time the wind blows, or even when it is not.
Useful if I want to hear the weather forecasts, to help me plan what to do during the day, and some ideas on what to prepare for with my garden.
Having grown food in the desert, as far north as Alaska, and points between, I know I need to make my garden work under different conditions, so if I know about them in advance, I can grow more food.

I do not know about the trash of other countries, but I find many things I can use in the trash here, things like cans and bottles...
If I were to take the cans and cut them, then flatten them, and put them on a large dish, could reflect enough sunlight to melt the glass thrown away, into sheets, I could then use to make a greenhouse, to retain moisture or, in the north, some of the heat to help grow my food with.
But it appears from living in many extremes, that it is not so much what we have, but what we do with it, that determines how well we can live.
Such as in a desert with much sun and sand, where these two combined, can make greenhouses partly shaded that can keep in moisture to grow food, in a desert. And to make things made out of glass from the sands, melted by the sun...
I do not know why the Children of Somali appear to be waiting for food..
Without knowing the reason for such a problem, no solution can be offered beyond my guesses.
But being far below average income for my country and local environment, I am not able to offer food, or money, but those things, only seem temporary, rather than a way they themselves can solve the issue, and try to help them, to do that.
To work towards a means to an end, puts an end to an endless means.

Much as I work to not use limited resources even when they are abundant (like gasoline once was), but to work on changing my life so I can live on what is available to me, like wind and sun for my electricity.

If a man uses fire, then it seems wise to learn how to make one himself.
If a man uses electricity, then it seems rather the same wisdom should apply.
No less than I like to eat, so I learn the art of growing my own food.

Drawing less on the limited natural resources, living simply, also allows others, a better chance, to be able to do so also.
Or as someone once said,
to live simply, that others may simply live.

If wealth were equal....
Then I should strive not to own more than average for what the world has,
on average.
And learn, how to do so, and prosper.

In fighting for peace...
I fight to learn to do what is right,
I fight to know truth over how I was told the world is (and who and what I am) when I was raised as a child.

When told to see the sun as going up and down, there was confusion within me but to young to feel I had a right to question my elders, I accepted in faith, that which I then learned (re-learned?) was an illusion.

If All One
Then saving this earth (from ourselves?)
is also, saving ourselves.
Healing the earth,
is also, healing ourselves.

I use wind to power this computer to send this message.
I have used wind and solar power (electrical) for most of my life (I am 50+ years old).
I live in America, and have saved an estimated $148,000.00 USD, by making my own power from wind and sun, rather than pay others to make it for me, using coal, petroleum or nuclear.
This money, I have instead, spent in my local economy.

In America I enjoy my freedom, including this freedom to change,
to grow into a better person.
I have the freedom to use gasoline, but just because it is acceptable to society, it was not acceptable to me.
I strive to set my standards for how I live,
more strict than what is socially acceptable.
I seek to thus use my freedom wisely.
If I wish for a smaller government then it is I who must seek to govern myself, so others then have no need to tell me to change.
If I wish for a cleaner world for my children to inherit (they will be here longer than I, so they have more rights to this world than I do), then I must make myself learn how to change, to know, and do, what is right (even if not easy nor the socially acceptable methods).
I cannot tell the world to change.
This to me would also mean telling you to change....
This is against, what is to me, freedom.

So I only seek to speak, for, and about, myself....
An American, who given the freedom of choice,
chooses to work hard, to do things the right way.
And to not put others above my own heart and soul,
in learning, to do what is right.

If I have the freedom to do as I please with my own life,
so long as it does not limit the rights of others to do as they please with their own lives,
then I dont have the right to pollute the air or water or ground, and thus leave this planet worse, for my existence (even if doing so, is said to be socially acceptable, it is not what I can accept).
I will, and do, use the methods available, to change.
For example, I would not feel overly hurt, if I used power that came from a nuclear reactor, to build wind generators.....
To use what is now, as a means to an end, not an endless means.
Nor, to leave change, for the next generations to do.
It is my job, to see how this world is changing,
then to teach my children what they will need to know how to survive (well!) in "that" world....
Like, one without gasoline, one without 'deep blue' skies, one without water they can safely drink as rain....
If I do not allow myself to feel the pain, and shame, for what I do to this world by my actions, then I do not allow myself to also have the motive, to change.

Peace,
and saving this world (one in the same?),
can start with,
ourselves learning (and changing) to live in peace with ourselves.

May peace be with you.
